Our goals are to strive at high-quality scientific publications on relevant and innovative topics, and to disseminate our knowledge and expertise to support evidence-based public health.

Our research programme:

  1. Determinants of population health and primary preventive interventions
  2. Effects of screening and medical interventions on population health

The ROBINSCA trial is incorporated in the research group “early detection of disease (screening)” at the department of Public Health of the Erasmus MC, which has an enormous, internationally recognized expertise on conducting screening trials.

University Medical Center Groningen

The University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) was established in 2005 as a joint activity of the University of Groningen and the Academic Hospital Groningen (AZG). At present, the UMCG is one of the largest hospitals in the Netherlands. More than 10,000 employees provide patient care, are involved in medical education and perform cutting-edge scientific research, focused on ‘healthy and active ageing’.
